Update: The German government removed another 3200 BTC from its wallet at around 12:30 PM ET. Of these Bitcoins, 400 were sent to the Kraken exchange, 107 to Cumberland, 2500 to an address believed to be linked to B2C2 Group and 200 to an unknown account.
The government wallet currently holds 22,846 BTC.
The German state, which sold more than 700 million dollars worth of Bitcoin yesterday, started fast today. According to data from Arkham, 3100 Bitcoins worth $177 million came out of the German government’s wallets. The BTCs were sent to an unknown wallet with the B2C Group and Kraken exchanges.
There are BTCs coming back again
Just as there were BTCs transferred, there were also BTCs returned to the government wallet. 1692 BTC returned to the government wallet from the Bitstamp exchange.
The German government currently still holds 26,053 BTC worth $1.5 billion.
No reason has yet been given for the BTCs coming back to the government wallet. Yesterday, after a $ 900 million Bitcoin outflow, $200 million Bitcoin returned to the wallet again.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading around $57,400.
