Binance ends affiliate program for Turkey

Binance exchange continues to take steps to comply with the regulations in Turkey. The exchange will terminate the affiliate programme for Turkish users starting tomorrow. New applications will not be accepted and old affiliate relationships will be terminated.

In the information made by the Exchange to the programme members by e-mail this morning, it was stated as follows:

‘Within the scope of the Crypto Asset Law adopted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 02-07-2024, all products and services on Binance.com will continue to be offered to users in Turkey in English and all other supported languages. However, we regret to inform you that as of 02-10-2024, in accordance with Article 99/A – (1) of the law, the Binance.com Affiliate Programme will end.

Please find below updates regarding our Affiliate Programme:

‘As of 02-10-2024, no new Affiliate applications will be accepted from Turkey and existing Affiliate relationships will be terminated.’
Within the framework of compliance steps, Binance.com, Binance’s website serving worldwide, will also be able to continue its activities.

As it will be remembered, the law, which was originally called the ‘Law Proposal on Amendments to the Capital Markets Law’, was adopted in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 26 June.

Within the framework of the rules, foreign exchanges were not banned, but certain restrictions were imposed on companies that would receive licences. One of these restrictions was the prohibition of the reference system. Crypto exchanges subject to Turkish law will also be closed to leveraged transactions.
