Weeks before the presidential elections in the USA, two presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris faced each other on ABC screens last night. While the two made heavy accusations against each other, crypto was not discussed. While the major institutions of the US media commented that Kamala Harris won the debate, Bitcoin fell below $57,000 again after the end of the programme.
The Donald Trump-Kamala Harris debate, which has been expected for weeks, took place tonight. In the debate, the right to abortion, the immigration problem, the economic course, the wars in Gaza and Ukraine were the most emphasised issues.

In more than 2 hours of discussion, cryptocurrencies were not discussed as expected. This issue was also not mentioned in the Biden-Trump broadcast in June. The most vocal claim of the night came from Donald Trump. Trump claimed that Haitian immigrants who entered the country illegally kidnapped and ate people’s pets.
Harris responded to this claim with a laugh and said, ‘That’s why 200 Republican MPs support me. Even Dick Cheney is among them.’ Cheney was the vice president of the last Bush era in the US.
After debate, Bitcoin plummeted
Institutions such as CNN, Reuters and Axios claimed that Kamala Harris won the debate. After the end of the programme on the ABC channel, Bitcoin, which had risen above $58,000, fell below $57,000 again.
Elon Musk: “I don’t think the debate hosts were fair”
On the other hand, Elon Musk, a famous businessman and Trump supporter, claimed that ABC presenters were unfair to Trump. Musk used the following statements:
“While I don’t think the debate hosts were fair to Donald Trump and Kamala Harris exceeded most people’s expectations tonight. That said, when it comes to getting things done, not just saying nice-sounding words, I strongly believe that Trump will do a far better job. After all, if Kamala can do great things, why hasn’t she? After the end of the programme, the largest prediction market platform, polymarket, re-established a 49% to 49% tie between Trump and Harris. Trump had the advantage until the minute the debate started.

Global wars were also the most discussed topic of the programme. Trump said that Harris hates Israel, but Harris did not accept this. Harris stated that Trump did not want to support Ukraine to curry favour with Putin. Trump also rejected this claim.
Harris pledged to continue making the US military the strongest in the world. Trump stated that Biden was the worst American president in history and Harris was the worst vice president.
