USDT, the largest stablecoin, is now coming to the TON network, which has seen rapid growth recently. While the Tether company made the announcement, like this stablecoin, the company’s coin XAUT, which is indexed to the gold price, will also be supported on the chain.

Although Telegram is behind the TON chain, which is also described as a decentralized layer 1 network, the network developers are working separately from the Telegram company. The main reason for this is regulatory concerns.

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov and Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino are currently at the TOKEN2049 conference in Dubai. The duo is expected to announce details about the topic at the event.

On the other hand, speaking to The Block reporter at the event, Paolo Ardoino said, “USDT will be launched on April 20 on the TON chain. XAUT will also be launched in the coming months,” he said and gave the first details on the subject.

Telegram, which has more than 900 million users worldwide, recently launched the TON coin. Telegram also moved from the euro to TON as payment for its advertising platform.
