Pantera Capital unveils $1 billion fund

Cosmo Jiang, one of Pantera Capital’s portfolio managers, announced the company’s $1 billion crypto fund in an interview. Stating that especially artificial intelligence and blockchain/crypto areas will come together, Jiang made important words.

“Every crypto company will turn into an AI initiative”

Speaking in an interview with DL NEWS, Jiang said that everyone will start using artificial intelligence in the coming period and made the following statements:

“Ten, 15, 20 years from now, everyone will be using AI. Investing in an AI company will be commonplace. It will be as natural as having a website for the company you invest in.”

“We had previously invested 15% to 20%”

Stating that they invested 15 to 20% of the investment they collected in a previous fund in artificial intelligence-related crypto projects, Pantera manager informed that they will close the first round of the $ 1 billion fund in 2025:

“In one of the previous funds, we invested 15% to 20% of its capital in AI-related blockchain projects in its early funds, and the ratio of the new fund will be higher. We plan to complete the first investment round of the fund in 2025. I cannot say that this figure will be clear, but the math would suggest that’s reasonable.”

Pantera also recently invested in Nexus Laboratories, a company focused on zero-knowledge proof-of-knowledge verification and backed by artificial intelligence. The $25 million investment round also included Dragonfly Capital, Faction Ventures and Blockchain Builders Fund.
