The names of the cryptocurrency world close to the Democratic side do not want to leave their crypto votes to Trump in the presidential race. According to the news of Fox Business from the US media, some business people, including Mark Cuban and Anthony Scaramucci, are launching a “crypto for Harris” movement.

In the news, it was stated that the Democrats will organise a virtual meeting next week and many important names, including Mark Cuban and Anthony Scaramucci, will make speeches.

The “crypto for Harris” group currently has about 50 members. The group includes industry participants, policy experts and business people.

Jonathan Padilla, CEO of Web3 marketing firm Snickerdoodle and one of the organisers of this group, said that Democrats also want the US to play the top in the crypto field and said:

“The United States must continue to be a leader in blockchain and crypto and groups like Crypto for Harris are working hard to ensure the right policies and conversations take place to ensure that outcome,”

Speaking on the subject, Wiley Nickel, a Democratic member of the House of Representatives, said: “We’re not giving this issue to Trump. We want to encourage innovation and protect consumers, but allowing crypto to become a political football is only going to set the U.S. further behind.”

Harris equalised with Trump

On the other hand, Biden’s withdrawal from the race and Harris’ candidacy brought a new excitement to the presidential race. In the blockchain-based betting platform Polymarket, Harris and Trump’s votes seem to be equalised by 49%.

Before Harris, Trump was clearly ahead in many surveys and such platforms.
