Kamala Harris hires executive working at Binance

Kamala Harris, one of the US presidential candidates whose stance on cryptocurrencies is still unclear, started to slowly build her team. Harris, who chose Tim Walz as vice president yesterday, has now recruited David Plouffe, who has also worked in crypto companies such as Binance and Alchemy Pay.

While Donald Trump supports cryptocurrencies at full speed, Kamala Harris’ surprising silence on this issue continues. Harris, who elected Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, as vice president yesterday, also began to form his team.

Is it for crypto?

Harris recruited David Plouffe, who served on the Global Advisory Board at Binance in the past and was one of Obama’s aides for a while, as one of his strategy advisors. Plouffe was most recently working as a global strategic advisor for Alchemy Pay.
It was stated that Harris took Plouffe to her team last week and the experienced consultant left Alchemy Pay.

Last month, Kamala Harris recruited Brian Nelson, who served as assistant secretary for financial intelligence and terrorism at the US Treasury Department. Nelson was also involved in the money laundering and sanctions violation case brought by the Treasury Department against Binance.

She did not follow Trump’s path

Harris has so far kept a strict silence on cryptocurrencies. Harris, who did not make a positive or negative comment on this area, also attracted the reaction of the crypto world by not attending the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville.

Some experts had stated that it was almost impossible for Harris to attend the event in just 3 days (after Biden’s withdrawal) due to security concerns.
