Hashdex met with Gary Gensler’s office for Bitcoin spot ETF

Hashdex, one of the companies waiting for approval for the Bitcoin spot ETF application, met with SEC officials once again yesterday. But this discussion was different than others. The meeting was held with the officials directly related to chair Gary Gensler.

The finance world is curious about SEC’s decision on Bitcoin spot ETF applications and as we are just days away from the final decision, one of the companies waiting for approval, Hashdex, met with SEC staff yesterday.

But this meeting was different than the others we have seen in the past. The meeting was held with chair Gensler’s office.

Bloomberg’s ETF analyst, James Seyffart gave the details about the meeting and said via X:

“I’m off for most of the week so might miss things but Hashdex met again with the SEC today. This meeting was with the chair’s office (Gensler’s office) and different from most meetings we’ve seen which are with ‘trading and markets’ or ‘corporate finance’”

The official document shared again by Seyffart, shows Samantha Ostrom, meeting with Samir Kerbage of Hashdex, on behalf of Gensler’s Policy Council.
