The person or persons behind the WazirX hack attack have started to take crypto and money laundering steps. According to the information provided by blockchain tracking and research firm Arkham, the hacker or hackers sent 2600 ETH to Tornado Cash.

As it will be remembered, in the attack in July, many assets were stolen from the WazirX exchange, including known cryptocurrencies such as PEPE, Shiba Inu, MATIC, and then most of these cryptocurrencies were converted to Ether.

Since 21 July, withdrawals have been closed on the WazirX exchange.

Tornado Cash, which is among the banned applications by the US and one of its developers is in prison in the Netherlands, is known as one of the most used applications by crypto hackers, even though it provides transaction privacy. Hackers are thought to belong to the North Korea-linked Lazarus group. Lazarus made its name known to the whole world with $600 million of crypto money stolen from the Ronin side chain in 2022. The US claims that Lazarus is helping North Korea fund its nuclear work.

WazirX had more than 4 million customers in India.
