Donald Trump once again promised to support cryptocurrencies. Trump, who opposed cryptocurrencies in the past but made a U-turn on this issue after losing the presidency, stated that he would receive cryptocurrency donations during the election campaign.
The former US president, who met yesterday with investors who bought their own NFTs, said, “If you can’t donate cryptocurrency right now, I will make it doable. I will allow crypto donation purchases.”
“Biden doesn’t even know…”
Trump also criticized Joe Biden in his speech to the people who received his NFT, saying:
“He doesn’t even know what cryptocurrencies are… If you like crypto in any form, and it comes in a lot of different forms, if you are in favor of crypto, you better vote for Trump. Look, we did it when NFTs were not hot. We made NFTs hot again,”
“If crypto is moving out of the U.S., we’ll stop it.”
Trump also criticized the anti-crypto money policies of the Biden administration and said, “If crypto is moving out of the U.S. because of hostility toward crypto… well, we’ll stop it. We don’t want that. If we’re going to embrace it, we have to let them be here.”
Rise of BODEN, TREMP and MAGA
On the other hand, after Trump’s statements, BODEN, the Solana network token inspired by Joe Biden’s name, and the Doland Tremp (TREMP) meme token, also issued on the same network, surged.
TREMP surged more than 120%, compared to 20% for BODEN. The MAGA token, which is commonly associated with Trump, also increased by more than 40%.
