The day Changpeng Zhao, one of the founders of the Binance exchange and CEO for years, will be released from prison is officially announced. According to the information on the website of the US Department of Prisons, CZ will be released on September 29. It was previously rumoured that Zhao would be released on this date, but with the official information on the website, this situation has been finalised.
CZ, who has been serving his sentence in California for about 4 months, also changed in August. The former CEO of Binance was transferred to a place known as RRMs, also known as RRMs, where prisoners approaching the end of their sentence.
No sign of return
Before entering prison, Zhao stated that he would continue his path as a ‘passive crypto investor and hodler’ and announced that he would devote himself more to educational activities. Therefore, the famous CEO is not expected to return to the crypto industry.
Richard Teng, who replaced CZ as CEO at Binance, also closed the door for CZ to take part in the company with some statements he made.
CZ, who is still a major shareholder in Binance, will retain these rights, but will not be allowed to have an impact within the stock exchange.
