Security forces organized a crypto operation called “SİBERGÖZ-42”. The operation was officially announced by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on X. It was stated that the buying/selling platform called “Smart Trade Coin” committed the crime of qualified fraud with the promise of “High Profit with Zero Risk”.

$1 billion in unfair earnings

While it is stated that the scammers made a high profit of 1 billion dollars, Minister Yerlikaya said, “We are on the neck of those who commit qualified fraud by using information systems. As in the Black Homeland, our virtual patrols are on duty 24/7 in the Cyber Homeland…”

It was informed that the operations, which took place in many cities, were carried out by the Ankara Provincial Police Directorate Anti-Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security Anti-Cyber Crimes Department.

The operations took place in Antalya, Istanbul, Izmir, Eskisehir, Usak, Aydın, Mugla, Kutahya, Corum, Balıkesir, Denizli, Adana, Bursa, Malatya, Tekirdag, Isparta, Karabuk, Konya, Sırnak and Samsun.

Security forces seized 1 unlicensed pistol, 1 dry firearm and many digital materials.
