Anita Dunn was one of the most prominent figures who attended this meeting organized by the Democratic side. Dunn, who is Biden’s chief advisor, could not hide her surprise at the harsh reactions and words directed at SEC chairman Gary Gensler and the Democrats. According to US media reports, Dunn, who did not wait for the end of the meeting, left the hotel after listening to opinions and complaints on many issues.
One participant reportedly told Dunn, “I’m a lifelong Democrat, but you guys have really got this one wrong.” Another participant used the phrase “You guys suck on crypto”.
Cuban: “Biden should fire Gensler”
After Dunn’s departure, the reactions to Gensler did not stop. Mark Cuban, a famous businessman and one of the organizers of the meeting with Ro Khanna, stated that Biden should fire SEC chairman Gary Gensler. Cuban also allowed these remarks to be shared with members of the media.
