Last month’s settlement between Binance, Changpeng Zhao and US prosecutors has been approved by the court.
According to court documents released today, District Judge Richard Jones in Seattle signed the plea deals between prosecutors and the Binance exchange and its former CEO Changpeng Zhao.
As part of the plea deal, Binance agreed to pay over $4.3 billion in fines. The exchange had been found guilty of violating anti-money laundering and sanctions laws.
On the other hand, Zhao, who pleaded guilty to the crimes he committed, will appear in court in February. The sentencing hearing will be held on February 23.
