“Beam Chain”, which is also introduced as “Ethereum 3.0” by many developers, plans to bring convenience especially to those who stake. The most important of these is that only 1 ETH is enough for the staking transaction instead of 32 ETH… This update is expected to significantly increase network participation.
Drake, an Ethereum Foundation developer, also stated that “Beam Chain” is actually a transition to the zero-knowledge proof era.
This development, which was the most talked about topic of the Devcon event; In addition to making Ethereum more resistant to quantum attacks, it will also provide faster block times and Snark support.
“Beam Chain” will not make a major change in the Ethereum network at first, but it will also have an impact on future updates. According to Drake, this update will give the Ethereum network its final form.
Vitalik Buterin: Ethereum is a world computer
The most important name of the event was, of course, Vitalik Buterin. Speaking here as he does every year, Buterin said, “Ethereum is a world computer. It provides benefits for the development of a global decentralized economy. It is a giant on-chain ecosystem and contains many different applications.”
Buterin also talked about the contributions of the second layer solutions “Optimistic Rollup and ZK Rollup” to the network and the fact that the PoS system appeals to larger crowds.
