Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, made his first statement after serving his four-month prison sentence and being released.

In a statement on his personal X account, Zhao stated that he will continue to invest in areas such as blockchain and decentralised technologies, artificial intelligence and biotechnology. Zhao also stated that things are going well at Binance without him at the wheel.

The statement of Binance’s founding name was as follows:

“GM, the food tastes so good and what a luxury it is to be able to eat more than one fruit a day!

I know some of you have a lot of questions, and I don’t have all the answers.

Allow me to rest for a while. We’ll think about our next steps later. There are always more opportunities in the future than in the past.

I want to thank you all for your support. It meant a lot to me and kept me going in my darkest moments.

A few quick updates/thoughts:

Giggle Academy is going well and will be a big part of my life for the next few years.

I will continue to invest in blockchain/decentralised technologies, artificial intelligence and biotechnology. I am a long-term investor who values impact over return.

I will also devote more time and resources to charity and education. I have some ideas in mind.

I’m still working on my book. I think it’s about two-thirds complete. Writing a book is a lot more work than I expected, but I will see this project through to the end.

By the way, Binance seems to be doing well without any management direction from me, which is great. Every founder’s dream!
