Michael Saylor shares 3 scenarios for Bitcoin: Ambitious price predictions

Michael Saylor, chairman of the board of MicroStrategy, shared his price forecasts for 2045 at the Bitcoin 2024 conference held in the US.

Saylor believes that Bitcoin will reach $3 million by 2045 in the worst case scenario. In this case, Bitcoin will account for 2% of all global wealth. The market value will also increase to $68 trillion. For Bitcoin to be $3 million in the next 21 years, its average annual return will need to be 21%.

According to Saylor, the most likely scenario is that the price will be $13 million by 2045. The MicroStrategy founder shared that if a value of $13 million per Bitcoin is reached, Bitcoin will take a 75% share among all global assets. This price level will bring Bitcoin a market capitalisation of $280 trillion. On the other hand, in this scenario, the average annual return seems to be calculated as 29%.

Saylor said in his speech that the best scenario is that Bitcoin will reach 2045 by $49 million. Bitcoin’s rise to this price level means a 22% share of global wealth. However, in the best scenario, the market capitalisation is measured at $1 quadrillion. For a price level of $49 million, Bitcoin needs to increase by an average of 37% annually.
