Some executives at the Bybit exchange, which had problems with the May 16 airdrop of Notcoin, the “play to earn” token of Telegram, one of the world’s most widely used messaging applications, resigned voluntarily.
According to the information shared by the Wu Blockchain account, which closely follows the Far East media, especially China, the delay in the airdrop also created a crack in Bybit management and some executives resigned voluntarily. The resigning executives also brought in new people with technical knowledge and experience in spot markets. An information letter was also sent to the company’s employees.
What happened?
As it is known, the airdrop of Telegram’s game token Notcoin on May 16 could not be held on the Bybit exchange as it should have been. More than 320 thousand users were unable to receive their tokens in their accounts on time and could not make instant transactions when the exchange listings started. This situation caused a great reaction among users.
The exchange management announced that the problem was caused by Notcoin and that the number of tokens coming to them was less than it should be. Although the exchange tried to solve the problem on its own initiative and sent a certain amount of Notcoin to some users, it could not eliminate the victimization.
The exchange then announced a compensation plan, granting the victimized customers the right to MNT token airdrop and various bonuses and some VIP rights.
