Cathie Wood, CEO of ARK Invest, an asset management firm that invests in many technologies from energy to fintech, robotics to the internet, met with President Nayib Bukele in El Salvador.

Wood, who is known to be a Bitcoin supporter, met with Bukele, along with many well-known names. At the meeting, which included Max Keiser and his wife Stacy Herbert, who is a Bitcoin maximalist and lives in El Salvador; cryptocurrency analyst David Puell, Sortium Blockchain Studio founder Marc Seal and economist Arthur Laffer were also present.

“GDP could increase 10 times”

Tweeting about the meeting, Wood said Bukele’s steps in AI and Bitcoin could increase El Salvador’s GDP 10-fold over the next 5 years. Wood also thanked Max Keiser and his husband Herbert for their part in the meeting:

The average monthly income is only $450… President Bukele also welcomed the idea of introducing ARK’s educational projects and technological programs such as robotics, energy storage, artificial intelligence and blockchain to schools in El Salvador.
