The first-round of the $2 million Cyber Ecosystem Grant program, which was launched in early April and aims to encourage the development of the Cyber ecosystem, has been completed.
In the first-round, $170,000 was allocated to projects developing applications that offer new and compelling social experiences on-chain. The projects in this round were selected from those with the highest level of compatibility with Cyber, who have made significant progress in their development, and are ready to move to the main network or use other developers’ tools.
The first-round grant recipients were as follows:
- Bitmon: A Web3 platform that combines gamified content curation with community-driven Proof of Curation protocol and aims to facilitate user engagement and transaction management through Cyber’s technologies.
- CharacterX: Synthetic social network fostering human-AI interaction and co-creation. Cyber plans to scale up in L2 to improve performance and user engagement.
- Element: NFT marketplace and aggregator, Element is poised to increase reach and operational robustness and enhance the Cyber ecosystem by offering active trading wallets with a user base of over 2.7 million.
- JiffyScan: JiffyScan, a leading UserOp explorer for ERC-4337 transactions, focuses on simplifying the developer experience to enable seamless social app creation by masking blockchain complexity for end users.
- Snaaps: Integrating the Snaps plugin with Cyber accounts, Snaaps improves the user experience by simplifying how users manage their CyberWallet through MetaMask.
- XO: An AI-powered, blockchain-verified social discovery platform for Gen Z, XO aims to transform user engagement by leveraging Cyber.
- Cybersapiens: Focused on combining digital innovation with sustainability, Cybersapiens engages communities through carbon-backed NFTs and works towards a zero carbon footprint in the Cyber ecosystem.
- Nomis: Nomis is a company that delivers personalized Web3 experiences.
- Plato: Innovating restaurant data management through the Eat2Earn program, Plato aims to transform the dining experience.
- SuperSquad: SuperSquad is a tokenized community focused on health and wellness, using goal-based social identities and the Cyber token to increase engagement and expand the functionality of the ecosystem.
Grants will be distributed after the respective project successfully completes the specified milestones. There will be a vesting period for the tokens to be distributed. According to Cyber, this will enable the ecosystem to achieve sustainable and effective growth.
Projects that were not selected in the first round were invited to reapply in the next round in the summer:
“The Cyber Ecosystem Grants program is set to expand with even more exciting opportunities. We are gearing up for additional grant rounds, each promising to support further innovative projects and the community at large. We will be having a series of Twitter Spaces where community members can dive deeper into the selected projects and discover what they are building, as well as explore other exciting opportunities within the Cyber ecosystem. Additionally, we will enhance our marketing efforts to ensure that these remarkable projects gain the visibility they deserve.”
