Dogecoin funded DOGE-1 satellite gets green light

It seems that the historic days are approaching again for Dogecoin, which Elon Musk is a big supporter of. The satellite to be launched for the Dogecoin-funded DOGE-1 space mission has been authorized. The US Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has also officially published the license for DOGE-1.

As it will be remembered, Elon Musk first announced the DOGE-1 satellite in May 2021, but the project was interrupted by delays and postponements that emerged later.

The satellite, which is targeted for launch in January, then plans to broadcast commercials from there.

Physical Dogecoin will also go to space

On the other hand, a physical Dogecoin has been prepared for another NASA project called the “Moon Mission”. A US-based company called Astrobotic will send this Dogecoin into space on NASA’s rocket. Launching on December 23rd, the rocket will carry the physical Dogecoin as well as a replica of a Bitcoin genesis block created by Bitcoin Magazine, sponsored by the BitMEX exchange.

Both DOGE-1 and Astrobotic’s space mission were fully funded by Dogecoin.

The emergence of the news did not bring a price increase in Dogecoin. DOGE is trading at about $0.08 at the time of writing.
