Yesterday, a Bitcoin tweet by an account named @satoshi on X became one of the agenda topics of crypto. While the account, which tweeted for the first time since 2018, was seen as very unlikely to be Satoshi Nakamoto, there was also a fear in this direction.
In the tweet from the account, it was written that Bitcoin has many features that are not in the white paper and that these will be further examined in the coming period. The emergence of the account years later brought along various conspiracy theories and speculations.
No known Twitter account
While the tweet received 1.5 million views, it is noteworthy that the account was not verified by X, that is, it received a “blue tick”. However, as it is known, X management verifies almost every account for money. Therefore, the fact that the account has a blue tick does not matter in this sense. Satoshi Nakamoto also does not have a known Twitter account.
Nakamoto last sent an e-mail to Gavin Andersen, one of the Bitcoin developers, in 2011 and stated that he would focus on issues other than Bitcoin and entrusted the project to Andersen. There was no sound from Nakamoto after that.
