Celestia officially announces its airdrop

Celestia, described as “the first modular data availability network”, has announced the expected airdrop. According to the official statement, Celestia will distribute 60 million tokens over the next few weeks.

The project’s token, called TIA, will be distributed to 7,579 developers and 576,653 on-chain addresses, which were previously determined according to certain criteria within the scope of the airdrop. The amount of 60 million allocated for the airdrop accounts for 6 percent of the total supply. The distribution will be completed on October 17. Addresses that meet the criteria will be able to receive their tokens until this date.

Celestia Labs, the company behind the project, received $55 million in investment last year and reached “unicorn” status with a valuation of $1 billion.
