Chris Amani, who became the head of the LUNA Foundation after Do Kwon was arrested for forgery in Montenegro, spoke on both Twitter Spaces and Discord broadcast.
Amani, who was not accused of fraud and only went to the courts to provide information about the company, said that about 40 more employees are running the new Terra LUNA project, while Amani said that they will face crypto investors with many projects in the coming period.
“If Kwon will return, his place is ready, but it may take 10 years”
Amani, who gave an interesting answer to the question “Will Do Kwon return to the project?”, used the following statements in Spaces and Discord broadcast.
“We have 7 to 8 projects in development and ideas. We are working hard. We are struggling with other situations as we are going uphill. That’s why there can be problems in our communication with the community. There is not much liquidity in our DeFi applications. We are in a tough struggle. We are trying to get LUNA back into use. We have no plans to issue a new token. Kwon is always welcome here. We welcome him. His place is ready, but if he comes back, it may take as long as 10 years.”
As you may recall, before Terra LUNA crashed, the value of assets locked in the system was about $20 billion. Today, DeFiLlama data shows that this figure is only $6.5 million on the new Terra blockchain.
Chris Amani joined the Terra team in January 2022, about 4 months before the project collapsed.
